THE ZELUS SYSTEM

The Zelus System uses your GPS location along with hyperlocal comprehensive weather data, as well as proprietary modeling algorithms to provide WBGT readings. It aims to make WBGT data accurate, accessible, affordable, and actionable. Zelus’s algorithm leverages empirical models which calculate WBGT using meteorological data (temperature, humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, and cloud cover).

YES! The Zelus system collects and saves all data including: worksite WBGT readings every 15 minutes, WBGT initial and high heat alerts, distant lightning and close lightning alerts, and supervisor/lone worker actions taken to mitigate risk. This data can be evaluated on the dashboard.
